Visiting the Maasai Elders

We had a wonderful opportunity to spend a week in the Ngong Hills in the Maasai lands of Kenya working at a children's center and visiting the elders of the area. The people are beautiful and so friendly. We organized a visit with a local community worker who helped us bring some basic staples to 11 of the eldest in the community. We drove all around the bush for a day to make these visits. It is customary when visiting an elder in Maasai communities for children to bow their heads to be blessed by the elder.
